Looking at a specific site in the north side of Pittsburgh, we were tasked with designing a center for urban agriculture that would respond to the needs and strengths of the neighborhood. The site is a plot of land, approximately 250 feet square, at the corner of North Ave. and Brighton Ave. It is located across from the Allegheny Commons Park and the National Aviary. A depressed rail line runs under one corner of the site. The design had to include space for education and outreach, urban barn, tool and vehicle storage, public market space & an enclosed greenhouse
